Setting up a Novation Launchpad. Live Versions: 8-10 Operating System: All Accessing Bundled Software. The Launchpad is compatible with all tiers of Live (Intro/Standard/Suite), but comes bundled with a free license for Ableton Live Lite.
The Launchpad is a very popular MIDI controller dedicated for Ableton Live.

I always wanted to expand the capabilities of the Launchpad and at the time of making this I did not have Max for Live (This days it comes included with Ableton 9 Suite).
Thankfully the good people at novation released a programmers guide for the Launchpad which was very helpful in building this template.
All the effects are built-in devices but you will need Suite since I’m using the Amp effect for this Template which only comes with the Suite version.
Novation Launchpad Ableton
Installation:
– Open up the FxGrid.alp Live Pack
– Choose a destination on your Hard-Drive where the project will be installed.
– Open up FxGrid Live Set
– Load loops to “Loops Go Here”
– Plug in your Launchpad
– Press “User 2”
– Flip it sideways
– Hit play
